She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Salger and Marie Salger (Alpers); her former husband Kenneth M. Kruger; her parents-in-law, Merle and Elberta Kruger; her siblings, Viola Peterson (Glen), Nadine Raymond (Robert), Loretta Struve (Roger), Lawrence Salger and Marion Salger; and her great grandchild Brylan Powers.
She is survived by: her husband Kenny; her daughters, LaDonna Messer (John) of Dysart and Nancy Kruger of Garrison; her grandchildren, Darcy Sherwood of LaPorte City, Jody Powers (Josh) of Waterloo and Natalie Kruger-Bartosh of Vinton; her great grandchildren, Emily Spoerre (Andy), Kaylee Sherwood, Brayden Powers, Brennyn Powers, Kayden Kruger, Presley Pope and Ellianna Hite; and her sister-in-law Pat Salger. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorials may be directed to St. Mark's Lutheran Church, or Cedar Valley Hospice Arlene was born at her home in Newhall on February 12, 1926, the daughter of Herman and Marie (Alpers) Salger.
