With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard E. Johansen of Newell, Iowa, who passed away on January 22, 2023 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his wife Mary; and his children, Phyllis Johnson (Kent), Donald Johansen (Diane), Georgia, Martha Mitchell (Stuart) and John Johansen (Kendra). He is also survived by five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren as well as several nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Grace Lutheran Church.
