He is survived by: his wife Mary Kay Klostermann; his grandchildren, Tia Izzia (Marco), Spencer Westhoff, Elise Westhoff (Chris Parma), Ethan Westhoff (Galilea), Anya Westhoff, Gabrielle Westhoff, Ashley Ziemer (Elliot), Kaylee Schmit, Cody Schmit (Isabelle), Anthony Schmit, Mikayla Bowen, Andrew Bowen, Ellie Schieltz, Abby Schieltz, Reya Sands, Mara, Lucas, Caleb Mead, Katherine, Brock and Dane Haan; his sister Marilee Koelker (Chuck); and his in-laws, Mary Jean Westhoff (Toots) and Don Klostermann (Cheryl). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Boniface Parish in New Vienna and the New Vienna Fire Department.
