It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Norma Jean Hanselman of New Sharon, Iowa, born in Jamaica, Iowa, who passed away on December 20, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Carpenter and Mae Carpenter (Pitman); her husband Jerrold Hanselman; and her niece Kim Owens. She is survived by: her children, Mark Hanselman (Pat) of New Sharon, David Hanselman (Carol) of University Park, Fenton Hanselman of New Sharon and Lea Ann DeCook (Terry) of New Sharon; her grandchildren, Travis Hanselman (Olivia), Holly Hanselman (Waylon Williams), Kyle Hanselman, Fritz Hanselman, Ashlar Hanselman, Miranda Johnson (Joshua), Anna Panada (Pete), Alexis Beck (Jake), Tiffany Hammerly (John) and Tasha Gibson (Hal); her great grandchildren, Hagan, Hugo, GiGi, Geona, Kylie, Drake, Korbin, Agustis, Paisley, Cheyenne, Cherise, Joey, Wiley, Brooke, Henrick and Kenzie; her great great grandchildren, Weslynn and Silas Panada; and her siblings, Francis Carpenter (Sandy) and Patricia Monthei (Gail). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.
According to the rules put in place by the Iowa Department of Public Health, proper social distancing and appropriate personal protective equipment will be required for attending this public event.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lacey United Methodist Church.
