It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Elizabeth Mitchell (New Sharon, Iowa), born in Humeston, Iowa, who passed away on February 23, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Coffey and Harriet Coffey (Allred); her husband Leon Mitchell; her grandson Travis Mitchell; and her siblings, Lloyd Coffey Jr., Avis Northcutt and Calvin Coffey.
She is survived by: her children, Mike Mitchell (Barb) of Pella, Tom Mitchell (Peggy) of Gainesville and Brenda Sparks (Charlie) of New Sharon; her grandchildren, Wendi, Alison, Candi, Michael, Jamie, Annalaya, Ashley and Jared; her godson Dusty; and her sister Franny Davis of Reinbeck. She is also survived by many other nieces, nephews and friends.
