It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Pauline James of New Sharon, Iowa, who passed away on March 17, 2023, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John McCulley and Catherine Kephart McCulley; her husband John C. "Jack" James; and her siblings, Marvin, Vernon, Donald, Kenneth "Tunney", David, William "Bill", Harlan, Robert "Bob" McCulley, Elizabeth Acord, Margaret Sampson, Jean Williams, Rassie and Catherine.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda James Sutfin (Dan) of Deep River and Mike James (Beth); her grandchildren, Heather Steele (Cheyan), Alex James (Leslie), Jennifer Stowell (Dustin), Jessica Arneson (Bryce) and D. J. Sutfin (Courtney); and her great grandchildren, Alina, Marley, Tinsley, Connor, Declan, Walker, Liv, Reese, Junior and Ruth.
Memorials may be designated to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) or Spina Bifida Association of Iowa.
