We are sad to announce that on February 26, 2023, at the age of 87, Dale Johnson of New Sharon, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Johnson and Thurma Johnson (Bond); his son Michael Johnson; his siblings, Letha Mae Davis and Dennis Johnson; his brother-in-law Steve Rankin (Mike Melcher); and his daughter-in-law Pam Howard.
He is survived by: his former wife Velda Martens Bybee; his family, Deb German (Dave) of New Sharon and Terri Meland of New Sharon; his children, Julie Widmer (Chris) of Montezuma, Brenda Watts (Greg) of Montezuma and Scott Johnson of Oskaloosa; his wife Donna Rankin Howard; his family, Jeff Howard (Karla) of Oskaloosa, Randy Howard (Jacque) of Oskaloosa, Tony Howard (Mary) of Oskaloosa and Chad Howard of New Sharon; his brother Leland "Bud" Johnson; and his sisters-in-law, Angela Johnson of California and Carolyn Melcher of Omaha.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Donna Johnson and will go towards future sponsorships at Prairie Knolls Country Club for inspiring golfers or to Stephen Memorial Animal Shelter.
