She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Balzer and Gertrude Hull Balzer; her former husband Hugh Breuer; her husband Paul Hughes; her son Brian; her siblings, Ronald, Helen Miller and Mabel Peterson; and her stepdaughter Becky Ryan.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Rowe (Lanny) of Jesup, Georgia, Alan Breuer (Darcella) of Palmyra, Luan Schmitt (Sid) of New London and Bruce Breuer (Shari) of Mt. Pleasant; her stepchildren, Tim Hughes (Kay) of McNeal and Christine McCurdy of Tulsa, Oklahoma.; and her siblings, Robert Balzer of West Burlington and Donna Hightower of Mt. Pleasant. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
