He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Krieger and Florence Lorenz Krieger. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Hallgren; his children, Mark Krieger (Vicki) of Muscatine, Michele Johnsen (Justin) of Heyworth and Gina McSorley (Mark) of New London; his grandchildren, Bailey, Carly Krieger, Addison, Ellery, Aven Johnsen, Carson, Isaac and Ashlyn McSorley; and his brothers, Jerry Krieger (Barb) of Mediapolis and Roger Krieger (Jan) of Burlington. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

A reception, with a light meal, will be held for anyone wishing to attend at the Klein Center (1307 S Gear Ave, West Burlington) after the grave-side service at approximately 4:00 p.m. A memorial has been established to Heart Song Day Services, Burlington, Iowa.
