He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Krieger and Florence Lorenz Krieger. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Hallgren; his children, Mark Krieger (Vicki) of Muscatine, Michele Johnsen (Justin) of Heyworth and Gina McSorley (Mark) of New London; his grandchildren, Bailey, Carly Krieger, Addison, Ellery, Aven Johnsen, Carson, Isaac and Ashlyn McSorley; and his brothers, Jerry Krieger (Barb) of Mediapolis and Roger Krieger (Jan) of Burlington. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, September 6th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Elliott Funeral Chapel (1 Redbud Ln, New London, IA 52645). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 6th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.

A reception, with a light meal, will be held for anyone wishing to attend at the Klein Center (1307 S Gear Ave, West Burlington) after the grave-side service at approximately 4:00 p.m. A memorial has been established to Heart Song Day Services, Burlington, Iowa.
