He is survived by: his parents, Donald Gail and Wynnette Hurd Shinkle; his former spouses, Carol Birky and Aleta McAfee; his children, Kala Anderson of Waukee, Luke Griffis (Jaime) of Sperry, Cheyenne Stow (Jason) of Felton, Caitlyn Griffis of Keokuk, Tyler Shinkle (Mackenzie) of New London and Kyle Shinkle (Jordyn) of Kahoka, MO.; and his siblings, Danny Shinkle, Donnette Loy and Donnel Shinkle. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren.
