Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Michael Allen Westerbeck (New London, Iowa), who passed away at the age of 79, on April 10, 2025. He was predeceased by: his parents, N. J. "Steve" Westerbeck and Mary Hannah Wellington Westerbeck; his siblings, Joyce Staley, Norman and Dickie Westerbeck; and his grandson Logan Michael Esbaum.
He is survived by: his daughters, Melissa Anne Anderson (Chris) of New London and Jennifer Jayne Loyd (Damon) of New London; his stepchildren, Sandra Lynn Esbaum (Kip) of Lowden, Patricia Jo Gill-Jones of New London and Travis Eugene Gill (Amy) of Salem; his grandchildren, Samuel Loyd (Alexis), Layney Cooper (Judah), Gaige Gill (Maureen), Claire Jones, Laettner Esbaum (Jalen), Elle Esbaum (Mathew Meline) and Pavin Esbaum; his great grandchildren, Mac and Mara Gill; and his brother Mark Westerbeck (Nell) of Georgia. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; and a host of good friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the New London Christian Church (2770 New London Rd, New London, IA 52645). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for the New London Black and Gold Backers and St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
