With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Burton Spurgeon (New London, Iowa), who passed away on February 9, 2022 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Spurgeon and Delpha Horn Spurgeon; his wife Patricia Huggins; his granddaughter Sarah Conner; his great grandchild Gracelyn Amburn; and his siblings, Verlin, Lowell, Lois McCormick and Roma Spurgeon.
He is survived by: his children, Belinda Conner of New London, Debra Thomas (Bob) of Illinois and Jeffrey Spurgeon of New London; his grandchildren, Whitney Amburn (Chris) of New London, Cody Conner of New London and Peyton Thomas (Evelynn) of Colorado; his great grandchildren, Zander, Ryker, Trinity, Scarlett Amburn, Blake, Finley Conner and Calvin Thomas; and his siblings, Ronald Spurgeon of Wilton, Iowa and Beverly Gillaspie (John) of Williamsburg, Iowa. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and brothers-in-law.
