She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Bernard Chayka (Bernie) and Nella Chayka (Dyche); her husband Charles (Chuck); and her children-in-law, Leslie Lorber (Greg) and Robert Kleinow (Sharon).
She is survived by: her children, Alice (Robert Janney), Carol (Leon Morgenstern), Nella (Robert O'Brien), Paul Lorber (Kim), Mark Lorber (Chris), Brian Lorber (Ann), Marcia Dickman (Phil), Greg Lorber (Jane), Gretchen Lorber and Sharon Kleinow (Jamie Minnaert).
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Elliott Funeral Chapel (1 Redbud Ln, New London, IA 52645). A rosary will be held on Monday, March 10th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Elliott Chapel, New London. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church (607 S Jackson St, Mt Pleasant, IA 52645).
If desired, memorial donations may be made to St. Alphonsus Catholic Church or in Irma's name to a favorite charity or organization.
