He was predeceased by: his parents, Delven William and Eula Grace McPherren Hays; and his brother William Hays. He is survived by: his former wife Connie Boyd; his spouse Bettyjean Lee; his daughters, Angela Burgin of Champaign, Christina Farthing (Alex) of Davenport and April Hays of Monmouth, Illinois; his stepchildren, Gregory Lee (Vicki) of Burlington, Robin Marshall of Grand Prairie and Rhonda Lutenegger (Alan) of Sunderland, Massachusetts; and his siblings, Judith Norman and David Hays (Elizabeth) of Oquawka, Illinois.. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; eleven step-grandchildren; thirteen step-great-grandchildren.
