She is survived by: her children, Daniel Berner (Cheryl) of New London and Amy Steffen of Searsboro; her grandchildren, Breanna Tover, Arlen Berner (Haley), Kayla (Matt), Jenna and Landon Steffen; her great grandchildren, Cyrus Woolsey, Carsun Tovar, Mayson, Tinsley Innis and Baby Berner; her siblings, Wes Michaelsen (Val), Jan Woods, Betty Sikkema (Bruce), Kathy Peters (Gerald), Debbie Stewart and Mike Michaelsen (Pam); her sister-in-law Betty Berner; and her husband Ben. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial has been established for New London Fire and Rescue.
