She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Albert and Myrtle Carroll Long; her husband John Leonard Mears; her daughter Charlotte Allen; her son-in-law Larry Allen; her sister Maxine Keithley; and her nephew Gene Keithley.
She is survived by: her children, Charles Mears (Connie) of New London, John E. Mears of New London and Linda Zachmeyer (Larry) of Ft. Madison. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established for Harmony Bible Church.
