He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin "Jack" Steinhagen and Leona Steinhagen (Lafrenz); his sister Edythe Weih; his siblings-in-law, Billy Holst and Jo Steinhagen; his nieces, Shannon Burkey, Angi Kempf and Tonya Stegen; and his nephew Jim Geigle.
He is survived by: his close friend Cindy Kuhn; his siblings, Anita Holst, Kathy Stegen (William) and Marvin Steinhagen; and his brother-in-law Dennis Weih (Deanna Timm). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; many great and great-great nieces and nephews, as well as many friends.
Leon will be remembered for his contributions to his community and his many passions.
