He was predeceased by: his parents, Louie Cordes and Madeline Cordes (Miller); and his daughters, Susan and Sheila. He is survived by: his wife Velma Ann Meyer; his children, Barb Johnson (Jason) of Parkersburg, Lisa Melcher (Greg) of Fern and Gary Cordes (Kim) of New Hartford; his grandchildren, Nicole Kannegieter (Kendall), Mike Nisius (Tessa), Casey Melcher, Alyssa Palmer (Jordan) and Bo Cordes (Jacey); his great grandchildren, Kayla, Kaiten, Kamden, Kaeley, Karsen, Kaibree, Keagen, Kaselynn, Adilynn and Emrie; and his siblings, LaVern Cordes (Merry) of Nevada, Roger Cordes (Judy) of Stout, Delbert Cordes (Sharon) of Parkersburg and Shirley Cordes of Parkersburg.
