He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Holschlag and Loraine Holschlag (Heit); his grandson Jaxon Rosendahl; his daughter Yvonne Los; and his sister Ann.

He is survived by: his wife Rose Burgart; his children, Joe Holschlag (Ronda) of New Hampton, Bob Holschlag (Brenda) of New Hampton, Paul Holschlag (Sherri) of New Hampton, Sue Baker (Nick) of Ionia and Dave Holschlag (Jodi) of Charles City; and his sister Marilee Richardson (Roy) of Knoxville, IA.. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
