She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Friedman and Vera Friedman (Drewelow); her brother Michael Friedman; and her siblings-in-law, Tom Hoey, Pat Hoey and Sally Wurzer.
She is survived by: her husband Bill Hoey; her children, Chris Hoey (Diane) of Lawler and Sarah Pickar (Mike) of New Hampton; her grandchildren, Kerri, Natalie Hoey, Brooke Flattum, Isabel Hopp, Mitch, Ryan, Karla and Beth Pickar; her great grandchildren, Liam, Hazel Flattum and Blake Hopp; her siblings, Richard Friedman of Wichita, KS, Robert Friedman (Maxine) of St. Ansgar, Kevin Friedman (Deb) of Marble Rock, Iowa and Nancy Valvoda (Ron) of Elma, Iowa; and her siblings-in-law, Jeannie Riha (Francis) of Waucoma, Jane Eckenrod (Ron) of New Hampton, Mary Hoey of New Hampton, Mary Ann Hoey of West Union, Jim Hoey (Elaine) of Waucoma and Wayne Wurzer (Diane) of Solon, Iowa.. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; her siblings and in-laws; and the many friends.
Kathy's strong will was never more evident than in her battle with Parkinson's Disease, which she approached with determination and grace.
