We are sad to announce that on November 13, 2020, at the age of 92, James Wesley Snyder of New Hampton, Iowa, born in Dayton, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Percy Snyder and Amelia Schima Snyder Anderson; his brother Leslie Snyder; his son Denis Snyder; and his great great grandchild Cyana Snyder.
He is survived by: his wife Betty of New Hampton, IA; his children, Allen Snyder (Karen) of Des Moines, IA, Virgil Snyder of New Hampton, IA, James Wesley Jr. Snyder (Nancy) of Rapid City, SD, David Snyder (Barb) of New Hampton, IA, Julie Merical (Barry) of Des Moines, IA and Wendy Finan (Kevin) of Anderson, SC; and his grandchildren, Jenny Garrey (JP), Heather Snyder, Sherri McDermott (Brian), Joe Snyder (Carrie), Leslie Tourangeau (Ryan), James Wesley III, Tori Reicherts (Jason), Michelle Snyder (Enrique Rose), Erin Snyder (Jeremy Moorman), Jenna Corcoran (William), Monique LaFave (John), Dustin Condon (Angie) and Joshua Finan. He is also survived by 29 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
For those attending in person, it is strongly recommended to practice social distancing and wear face masks to both the funeral and visitation.
