She was predeceased by: her parents, Karl Kuriger and Rachel Kuriger (Ralston); her husband Lynford Wendt; her granddaughter Michelle Schulmeister (Bryan); and her siblings, Mildred Hanson (Karl), Theresa Wiley (Don), Rosemary Jenkins (Jerry), Florence Sherbon, Margaret Scoles, Phillip Kuriger (Thelma), Ray Kuriger and Paul Kuriger (Carol).
She is survived by: her children, Larry Wendt (Lanette) of Waverly, Linda Wurzer (Dale) of Sumner, Lorna Wendt of Fredericksburg and Lesa Venem (Roger) of New Hampton; her grandchildren, Nathan Wendt (Tara Karsten), Kari Landis (Joey), Christopher Wurzer (Tiffany), Kelly Lantow (Steve), Traci Hendries (Jason), Matthew Wurzer (Ashley Lantow) and Shawn Wurzer (Nicole); her stepgrandchildren, Teresa Stapleton (Shelby), Dan Venem (Christine) and John Venem (Alicia); and her siblings-in-law, Ellen Kuriger and Raymond Scoles.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John's Lutheran Church (301 4th Ave, Frederika, IA 50631).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Croix Hospice.
