With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald Leo Schwickerath of New Hampton, Iowa, born in Colo, Iowa, who passed away on February 26, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Schwickerath and Catherine Schwickerath (Coleman); his siblings, Francis Schwickerath, Marianne Mashek (Donald), Kathleen Sullivan (Donald) and Merle Schwickerath; and his brother-in-law Michael Carlin.

He is survived by: his wife Donna Schmitt of New Hampton; his children, Randy Schwickerath of New Hampton, Regina Sterbenz (Scott) of Johnston and Roberta Wiegmann (Bret) of Adkins, TX; his sister Dorothy Carlin of New Hampton; and his sister-in-law Karen Schwickerath of New Hampton. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
