He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Geerts and Margaret Geerts (Brehm); his grandson Mason Geerts; his great grandchild Samson Zubrod; and his siblings, Mabel, Ruth, Paul, Louis, Andrew and Elmer.
He is survived by: his wife Coletta Schwickerath; his children, Jeanne Roder (David) of New Hampton, Ali M. Anderson (Dan Mackey) of Clear Lake, IA, Leon Geerts (Elizabeth) of Alta Vista, Norbert Geerts of Alta Vista, Karen Schneider (Dan) of Rochester, MN, Janet Miller of Cresco, Janice Burgart (Don) of New Hampton and Kevin Geerts (Tracy) of New Hampton; his sister Monica Marvin of Alta Vista; his sister-in-law Imogene Attig; his sister Jane Schwickerath of Waseca, MN; and his brother-in-law Joe Schwickerath (RoseAnn) of New Hampton. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
