It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Daniel Christian Hammel of New Hampton, Iowa, born in Dubuque, Iowa, who passed away on July 3, 2022, at the age of 20, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandfather Floyd Hammel. He is survived by: his parents, John Hammel and Patty Hammel of New Hampton; his siblings, Lacey Hammel of Dubuque, Michael Hammel (Tomas) of Marion, Zachary Hammel (Samantha) of Waterloo and Emily Hammel (Colton Braby) of Waverly; his nephew Tyler; his grandparents, Rose Ann Hammel of Dubuque, Larry and Cynthia Sheldon of Cedar Rapids; and his godparents, Jim and Laura Hammel of Sherrill. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
