She was predeceased by: her parents, Ingvald Hereid and Clara Hereid (Johnson); her husband Arthur; and her brothers, Carlton Hereid, Oliver Hereid (Don), Merle Hereid and Lowell Hereid (Pete).
She is survived by: her children, Gary Borlaug (Anne) of Indianola and Nancy Clefisch (Kevin) of Garnavillo; her grandchildren, Eric Borlaug (Kari) of Indianola, Sarah Borlaug of Des Moines, James Borlaug (Lindsey) of Ankeny, Ellen Zawacki (Joel) of Indianapolis, John Clefisch (Amy) of Ely and Elizabeth Hanrahan (Jordan) of Iowa City; her great grandchildren, Katelyn, Andrew, Madison, Nathan, Evelyn, Nolyn, Gracie, Jack, Ethan, Will and Eloise; her siblings, Ada Engstrom of Chaska, MN, Orreann Hereid of Edina, MN and Paul Hereid (Lucy) of New Hampton, IA; and her siblings-in-law, Allen Borlaug (Luann) of Saude, IA and Carol Bruch of Marion, IA. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Redeemer Lutheran Church (611 W Court St, New Hampton, IA 50659).
