He was predeceased by: his wife Carole Lusson; his siblings, Don "Satch" Johnson (Lavone), Gladys Hadley (Ed), Ilene Johnson and Lorraine Johnson; his brother-in-law Ed Abt; and his grandson Mark Johnson Winter.
He is survived by: his daughters, Danita Winter (Tom) of Edmonds, WA and Leann Vorwald (Bob) of New Hampton, IA; his grandchildren, Cara Winter (Jeff Kirsch) of Seattle, WA, Abby Winter (Eric Bossler) of Seattle, WA, Megan Koenigs (Alex) of Cresco, IA and Marc Vorwald of New Hampton, IA; his great grandchildren, Joe, Sam Kirsch and Ruth Bossler; and his sisters, JoAn Blietz (Vern) of Minneapolis, MN and Shirley Abt of Bellingham, WA.. He is also survived by son grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
