She is survived by: her mother Lorna Smerud (Darling) of New Albin, IA.; her sons, William Frederick (Summer) of La Crosse, Alfred Vernon (Andrea Reischel) of Menomonie and Steven James (Carly Frerichs) of La Crescent; her grandsons, Frederick and Jackson; her sisters, Susan Salek (Carl) of Westby and Trudy Smerud Infelise of Minneapolis; her nieces and nephews, Jess Salek (Randy Cornell) of Madison, Jacob Salek of Westby, Sam Smerud (Georgianna) of Minneapolis, Stephanie Opstad (Ray) of Minneapolis, Gina Snell (Mark) of St. Paul and Jen Myrick (Lauren); her granddaughter Puggy Sue; and the father of her children Steven.
