Stephen M. Schrum Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 20, 2024, at the age of 78, Stephen M. Schrum of Nevada, Iowa, born in Saint Anthony, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elroy Schrum and Darlene Schrum (Boeck); his brother Stanley; his brothers-in-law, Keith Kelderman and Dale Moeller; and also Dave Saxton.
He is survived by: his children, Jonathan Schrum of Nevada, Jennifer Chitty (Marty) of Nevada, Jamie Schrum of Ankeny and Jill Rhodes (Matt) of Nevada; his grandchildren, Mary Combs (Austin), Matthew, Reagan Chitty, Ayden and Carson Rhodes; his great grandchildren, Calvin and Elliot Combs; his siblings, Sharon Kelderman, Sue Rauch (David), Sandra Moeller, Skip Schrum (Coleen) and Sheila Schrum; and his in-laws, Ted Quick (Dee), Karen Pounds, Allen Quick (Darcy) and Janet Quick. He is also survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Nevada First United Methodist Church (1036 7th St, Nevada, IA 50201). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
