He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Markley and Marilyn Markley (Hagen); his siblings, Terry Markley and Becky Mennes; and his nephew Kalen Markley.
He is survived by: his son Brandon; his daughter-in-law Lindsey Markley of Anamosa, Iowa; and his siblings, Steve Markley of California, Clint Markley of Iowa and Edie Seye of Iowa. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
