He was predeceased by: his father Jack Lester; his brother Dan Christie; and his stepfather Ed James. He is survived by: his mother Catherine Christie (Gardner) of Ames; his wife Tami Joan Wohlers of Nevada; his children, Tyler Christie of Ames and Mackenzee Sledge (Casey) of Grimes; his grandson Luca Sledge of Grimes; his siblings, Sue Sheeler of Nevada, Mary Lou Denton (Rick) of Cambridge, Herk Christie (Kaltrina) of South Dakota and Jay Christie (Kesha) of Collins; and his stepmother Gloria Christie of Collins.

Face coverings and social distancing are required.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family and the use will be determined at a later date.
