He was predeceased by: his parents, Jess Sloan and Fairy Sloan (Schwartz); his brother Robert Sloan (Sally) of Winona, MN.; and his son-in-law James Jenkins. He is survived by: his wife Romeyn Sloan (Schrock); and his children, Romeyn Jenkins of Nevada, IA, Dan Sloan (Jeni) of Nevada and Jim Sloan (Shannon) of Nevada. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, please direct donations to BSA Troop 128, Nevada, IA for the purpose of establishing a campership fund for boys and girls unable to attend camp for financial reasons.
