He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Chaplin and Gertrude Anna Chaplin (Crabill). He is survived by: his wife Nancy of Nevada; his children, Wesley Chaplin (Michelle) of Pella and Wendy Vander Linden (Mark) of Jefferson; his grandchildren, Nathan Chaplin (Nicole Van Wyk), Noah Chaplin, Courtney Chaplin, Gavin Vander Linden and Lucy Vander Linden; and his siblings, Gerald Chaplin (Becky) of Numa and Bernadine Cowan (Garry) of Centerville.
