She was predeceased by: her parents, Byron C. Beeson and Ruth E. Beeson (Robson); and her brother-in-law David. She is survived by: her husband Bruce Nelson Kenney; her son Mark Kenney (Julie); her grandchildren, Lauren and Landon Kenney of Ankeny; her daughter Elaine Axmear (Will); her grandchildren, Olivia and Brooke Axmear of Nevada; and her brother Alan Beeson (Cindy) of Red Oak.

Visitation was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home & Crematory - Nevada (1418 Fawcett Pkwy, Nevada, IA 50201, USA). A memorial service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the First Christian Church (250 W E Ave, Nevada, IA 50201).

Memorials may be made to Oak Hill Cemetery in memory of Barbara.
