He was predeceased by: his sister Phyllis Pelland. He is survived by: his wife Darlys of Nashua, IA; his children, Randy (Colleen Dietz), Rick Dietz (Lucille) of New Jersey, Reed Dietz (Teresa Fisher) of Nashua, IA, Rhonda Riley (Denny) of Cedar Falls, IA, Rose Carlin (Jim) of Omaha, NE and Renea Hawbaker (Brad) of Nashua, IA; his siblings, Jim Dietz (Lavonne) of Cedar Falls, IA, Jerry Dietz (Mariellen) of Nashua, IA and Norma Davidson (Dick) of Missouri; and his brother-in-law Earl Pelland of Iowa City, IA. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
