She is survived by: her children, Julie DeVries (Rick) of North Liberty, Nancy Vaale (Lee) of Oakland, MN, Brian Bierschenk (Ruth) of Nashua, Jayne Abraham (Bradley Brickzin) of North Liberty, Rachel Urban (Tom) of Ankeny and Michael Buttjer (Sherry) of Plainfield; her close friend Clair Coughlin of Cedar Falls; and her sister Arletta Sweazey of Brownsdale, Minnesota.. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 2 honorary grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 15 step-great-grandchildren.
