It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Bernard H. Horn (Nashua, Iowa), who passed away on May 11, 2020, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Horn and Molly Horn; his wife Eva Litterer; and his daughter Marilyn Sue. He is survived by: his nephew Loren Horn; his niece Karen Knight (Ken); and also, Amy (Dale), Jordan and Taylor Launstein.

“One of the greatest honors of my life has been being a part of the life of Bernie Horn. In 1988, I was told by the Nashua postmaster, I was not the lone ham radio operator in the area. I surprised Bernie and his dog, Buddy, paying him a visit. That first visit was the beginning of a friendship that was maintained throughout the years keeping in touch by phone, in person and of course, radio. As recently as the fall of 2019, we paid what was our last visit. We love you Bernie, the Wade Sick fam.”
