He is survived by: his wife Mary Sue Moffitt; his children, Amy Hemphill (Lawrence "Lance") and Scott Zaputil (Erin); his grandchildren, Grant Hemphill (Camryn), Josie Hemphill, Bailey Zaputil, Olivia Thiel (Andrew), Dylan Zaputil, Tommy Zaputil (Lexi Rozen) and Madelyn Zaputil; and his brothers, Joe Zaputil (Diane), Steve Zaputil (Deb), James Zaputil (Dorothy) and Rick Zaputil (Donna).
