He was predeceased by: his parents, Winton A. Chumbley and Eva Chumbley (Sargent); his sister Eva Gater; and his son-in-law Ted Jones. He is survived by: his children, Jill Jones (Billy Joe Cross) of Ottumwa and Cory Allen of LaFayette, Alabama; his grandson Nathan Jones of Mystic, Iowa; and his nephew Tony Chumbley (Deanna) of Indianola, Iowa.

An open memorial has been established and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home and Crematory, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa, 52544.
