She was predeceased by: her parents, Ross Benjamin Brown Sr. and Vera Alice Brown (Phillips); her husband Gene Ruby; her son-in-law Richard Sowells; her siblings, Ross "Dutch" Brown Jr. (Arliss), Billy Brown and Luetta "Sis" Peel (John); and her parents-in-law, Sharlene Jones (Carl), Harold Ruby, Arthur Ruby, Shirley Nyquist (Don) and Donnie Ruby.
She is survived by: her children, Steve Ruby (Nancy) of Centerville, Ronda Ruby Sturms of Centerville and Brenda Ruby Sowells of Centerville; her grandchildren, Mitch Cairns (Michelle), Amy Ruby, Brandon Sturms (Jaqui), Nicole Muir (Marty) and Allison Hancox (Scott); her great grandchildren, Michalyn Ruby, Brody Sharp, Alyssa Boehning, Jacob Cairns, Gradey Stickler, Max Muir, Sam Muir and Kaiya Sturms; and her siblings, Patty Proffitt (David), Reta Havard (Don) and Robert Brown (Marie). She is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.
