She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Ross and Mazie Ross; her former husband Don Swanson; her siblings, Darlene Caparoon Onleaf and Max Ross (Lucy); her grandson David Swanson; her great grandchild Chase; and her sister-in-law Ethel Johnson (Dale).
She is survived by: her husband Everett Adams of Muscatine; her children, Dan Swanson (Jane Ann) and Kendall Swanson (Penny); and her stepchildren, Teresa Riley, Mike Adams, Rick Adams and Roger Adams. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren.
A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of Virginia.
