Terry A. Thein Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Terry A. Thein (Muscatine, Iowa), who passed away on January 9, 2025 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Thein and Mary Lou Thein (Mueller). He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo Thein (Pitts) of Muscatine, IA; his children, Tyler Thein (April) of New London, IA, Trevor Thein (Natalie) of Conroy, IA and Tiffany Banks (Cory) of Adel; his grandchildren, Clayton Thein, Jameson Thein, Ezekiel Banks, Lane Thein and Penelope Banks; and his siblings, Tom Thein (Loretta) of Monticello, IA, Jane Novak (Mike) of Calamus, IA and Doug Thein (Sarah) of Ventura, IA. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home (1931 Houser St, Muscatine, IA 52761). Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family, in care of Mary Jo, for a future donation to The University of Iowa for Lewy Body Dementia Research, in Terry's honor.
