She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald E. Shoemaker and Evelyn Perham Shoemaker; and her brother-in-law Dennis Salek. She is survived by: her husband Daryl W. Salek of Muscatine; her children, Krista Slunaker (Kyler), Adrian Salek (Becca), Shanna Salek and North; and her siblings, James Shoemaker (Sabrina), David Shoemaker (Corina), Wilton, Tim Shoemaker and Charlotte Pallischeck (DeWayne).
She enjoyed going to Old Threshers every year, ghost hunting with her family, crafting and making items for her family, she even sewed masks during the pandemic.
