He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Edmond and Lorrene Tietge Hendriks; and his brother-in-law Virgil Werning. He is survived by: his former wife Peggy Garrison; his spouse Debbi Hatfield; his family, Peggy Hendriks of Muscatine, Mendi Jenkins (Kevin) of Poquoson, Virginia, Melissa Wolfe (Willie) and Bob Dearmore of Muscatine; his grandchildren, Tyler, Tanner, Tristan, Taran, Tegan, Zack, Gavin, Jade, Erika, Dacoda, Robert James and Michael (Amanda); his siblings, Holly Werning of Ely, Heidi Fields (Kevin) of Muscatine and Jeff Hendriks (Cathy) of Muscatine; and his pet Sadie. He is also survived by several sisters and brothers-in-law; several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Scott's honor to the family, in care of Peggy Hendriks.
