He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Nichols and Mae Kalk Nichols; his wife Julie D. Sill; his siblings, Helen, Shirley, Virgil, Ernie and Byron; and his stepson Byron Nichols (BJ).
He is survived by: his children, Ronda Huston (Carl), Audra Sill (Gary), Regina Balfe, Levi Nichols, Anissa Nichols, Debra Niemi (Eric), Jennifer Nichols and Taylor Nichols; his stepchildren, Steve Nichols and Rebecca Turner (Robert); and his brother Dennis Nichols. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the American Legion (110 S Houser St, Muscatine, IA 52761).
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Muscatine American Legion Post 27, in honor of Ron.
