We are sad to announce that on March 17, 2022, Roger L. Lande of Muscatine, Iowa, born in Lake Mills, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his son-in-law Fred Dietz; and his sister Donna Lehman of Minnetonka, MN. He is survived by: his wife Sarah Dunkerton; his children, Meg Dietz of Iowa City, IA and Christopher Lande (Lisa) of Vienna, VA; his grandchildren, Sarah Minor of Iowa City, IA, Liza Minor of Boulder, CO, John Lande of Vienna, VA and Lucy Lande of Vienna, VA; and his sisters-in-law, Ann McChord of New York, NY and Martha Tarantino (Joe) of Las Vegas, NV..
Roger often told the story of how he suffered a broken nose during one football game; the trainer stopped the bleeding, straightened the nose and Roger went back into the game, this time with a helmet that included a face mask.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Roger's name to either the Muscatine Arboretum Association Endowment of the Community Foundation of Greater Muscatine or the Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation.
