With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rebecca McCaw of Muscatine, Iowa, who passed away on June 3, 2021 at the age of 72. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Rebecca McCaw to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her father Russell Trachsel. She is survived by: her pet Chester; her daughter Shari Ferolie (Jim) of Verona; her grandson Parker Ferolie (Dean Schnedler); her mother Nadine Trachsel of Milton; and her brothers, Ben Trachsel (Amy), Mike Trachsel, Tim Trachsel (Debbie) and Pat Trachsel (Faith).

She got progressively more healthy until COVID kept her from treatments for more than a year, but she continued to fight and put on her well-practiced brave face, and many people had no idea she was feeling any sickness until she died.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to one of two charities -- a fund to help others get help at the clinic where she got cancer treatments or her church.
