He was predeceased by: his parents, William Freund and Natalie Tunnicliff Freund; and his sisters, Julia Smith and Amy Ryan. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Watson; his daughter Jennifer Salvigsen (Stephen) of New Jersey; and his grandchildren, Lynnea of New Jersey, Taylor of New Jersey and Dylan Salvigsen of New Jersey.

Memorials may be made to St. Croix Hospice or Pinnacle Memory Group Homes.
