He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Hoag and Freda Zimmerman Hoag; his brothers, Paul Hoag Jr. and Walter Hoag; his daughter Diane Gregg; his grandson Daniel Gregg; and his great grandchild Alexis Bassett.
He is survived by: his former wife Doris Welk; his wife Shirley Hoag of Muscatine; his children, Debbie Paulson (Don), Doug Hoag (Sandi) and David Hoag (Stacie); his grandchildren, Dane Paulson (Shannon), Dustin Paulson (MacKenzie), Lindsey Henke (Luke), Tricia Sours (Zach), Shonna Lampe (Dustin), Bryan Hoag (Teri), Bradley Gregg (Molly) and Ashley VanderSchoor (Scott); his great grandchildren, Bentley, Hayley Paulson, Asher Henke, Cole, Chase, Claire, Chandler Sours, Carter, Tanner, Oliver Lampe, Layne, Riggston, Droz Hoag, Obi, Campbell, Emerson, Brinley Gregg, Connor Wood, Aubrey and Henry VanderSchoor; and his great great grandchild Harper Sours.
