It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phyllis Marine of Muscatine, Iowa, born in Rock Island, Illinois, who passed away on February 1, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Omar A. Howard and Esther Howard (Freese); her husband Alvin Marine; her siblings, Jerry Howard, Ruth Yerington and Thelma Hidledaugh; her stepdaughter Inez Rathjen; her stepsister Mary Cook; and her stepgranddaughter Becky Marine.
She is survived by: her former husband James L. Noble, Sr.; her children, James L. Noble Jr. (Judy) of Muscatine, Connie Fry (Ned) of Mediapolis and Jeffrey S. Noble (Barbara) of Muscatine; her stepson Larry Marine (Karen) of Wilton; her stepson-in-law Leon Rahtjen of Wilton; her grandchildren, Jason Noble (Leah), Tyson Geertz (Carie), Amy Justus (Sean), Kara Conner, Luke Noble (Kyndra), Sarah Noble-Hagerty (Tom) and Kate Pierson (Nick); her siblings, LeRoy Howard (Jo) of Alabama and Miriam Neff; and her sister-in-law April Howard of Idaho. She is also survived by several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
